Disney Posts Auditions for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Cast

Earlier this afternoon, it was announced that the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue would return in June after a long hiatus due to COVID-19 operational impacts. While there were whispers of the show’s demise, Disney put that talk to rest by announcing the return of the show.

Now, Disney World has posted auditions for the return of the show. The roles below are for substitute and casual temporary positions only as current full-time equity and character Cast Members are under consideration and do not need to attend auditions. Here are the roles up for audition:

• Claire DeLune: Johnny’s girl; she’s adorable, lovable and flirtatious, full of life and best known for her outrageous “giggle.” Singer who dances. 
• Dolly Drew: Strong woman and “Annie Oakley” type. Vaudevillian style Comedian. Her mannerisms and style are less than demure. Character actor/comedienne.
• Flora Long: Beautiful leading lady; sweet and petite; vocal soloist-soprano.
• Jim Handy: Leader of the troupe; a leading man type; handsome, outgoing, friendly, vocal soloist-heroic bass/baritone. 
• Johnny Ringo: Handsome, dapper; the song and dance man; a true gentleman. Classic air of sophistication. Singer who dances. 
• Six Bits: A “punster”, Vaudevillian style Comedian; his brand of humor is often slapstick. Character actor/comedian.
