Festival of Fantasy Parade Returns With Missing Parade Unit, Reduced Number of Performers and Characters

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade has returned to Magic Kingdom! The parade last ran in Magic Kingdom back in March 2020, before the theme parks shut down. Today marks the first time that a daytime parade has been performed in the parks in nearly two years. While it’s great news that a daytime parade is back, there were some significant cutbacks in not only the number of performers but also the number of characters and even an entire unit cut out.

The number of characters was reduced in half as the princesses were missing their princes on the lead float, and a number of other dancers and performers experienced either reductions or complete cuts. For example, the entire Brave parade unit was cut out of the parade. In addition, we noticed a few changes to the soundtrack that removed references to Splash Mountain and Dumbo.
