Disney has announced that guests visiting Disney Springs will be able to participate in a complimentary Virtual Reality experience thanks to a partnership with Meta. The experience will take place in the building that was custom-built for the NBA Experience. The Meta Quest 2 Virtual Reality Experience Featuring ILMxLAB’s Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge will run from May 2, 2022 to July 21, 2022 at Disney Springs. In this preview of the full virtual reality experience, step inside Seezelslak’s cantina in Black Spire Outpost to encounter Mubo and Seezelslak, test your skills with Repulsor Darts and play the chromarimba.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge
During the full version of ILMxLAB’s action-adventure virtual reality experience, you’ll take on the role of a droid repair technician operating near the Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy. When a group of pirates attack, you’ll discover that anyone in the galaxy can become a hero.
This original story features both new and iconic characters from the Star Wars galaxy. It includes multiple styles of gameplay and difficulty settings to accommodate a wide variety of players—from Star Wars fans to virtual reality gamers alike.

A Meta staff member at the location will help you either reserve a time to come back to participate or direct you to a queue outside the building, based on availability.
