Largest Disney World Union Completes First Round of Bargaining, Negotiations Over Wage to Begin Next Week

The Service Trades Council Union, which is a collective of multiple unions representing 41,000 Cast Members, completed two days of bargaining as they negotiate a new contract with Walt Disney World. The initial round of talks comprised of topics such as voting rights, transfers, sick leave, day-of extensions, and recall rights among other things. A second round of talks is scheduled for next week and proposals cover wages, healthcare, retirement, and other items.

The current contract expires on October 1, 2022.
