As we continue to keep an eye on refurbishment projects in Pandora – The World of Avatar, it’s hard to miss the pavement refurbishment project that is ensuring that the land remains a bioluminescent treat at night. While walking through the land recently, we couldn’t help but notice a section of pavement that has recently been refurbished. Disney typically refurbishes the pavement annually.

It looks like crews will be going through in sections, likely following the major thematic cracks in the pavement to segment their work. In the photo below, you can see that the refurbished pavement in the top half of the image is much more vibrant than the pavement in the lower and right areas of the photo.

Here’s a closer look at the refurbished pavement.

The glow-in-the-dark material is so strong that you can actually see the glowing effect in direct sunlight when a shadow is cast over a portion of the refurbished pavement.

We’ll likely see more sections completed in the coming weeks.
