An overwhelming majority of Disney World Cast Members have rejected Disney’s proposed $1/hr raise, voting no on the proposed contract. Here’s how the voting broke down, according to the Service Trades Council Union (STCU):

  • 526 voted YES to accept the company’s offer
  • 13,650 voted NO to say $1 is not enough

Disney World and the STCU will return to the bargaining table to continue negotiations over wages and other outstanding items. The STCU is pushing for $18/hr, which represents a $3/hr increase over the current minimum wage.

The vote today represented the full-time Cast Members under the STCU umbrella of more than 45,000 Cast Members. Negotiations started in August 2022.
