After too many rainy days in a row, we finally made it out to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to check out some of the holiday offerings for the 2023 holiday season. The holiday season really is magical at Walt Disney World. No other holiday is so widely celebrated via decorations and unique offerings throughout the year.

Animal Kingdom really leaned into the holiday season back in 2019, and we’re lucky that Disney World decided to invest before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. From the main entrance through every land at the park, guests will find decor and even some unique offerings. Here’s a look at some banners at the park entrance that have been added since our last visit.

Once inside, our first glimpse of the Merry Menagerie was the birds circling over guests’ heads in the Discovery Island plaza.

The Merry Menagerie debuted back in 2019 as the Disney Parks Live Entertainment team thought up ways to bring the Discovery Island village to life. If you’ve never experienced the Merry Menagerie, the offering consists of a number of puppeteered animals, big and small, that are brought to life by amazing artists. It’s almost hard to explain how wonderful and magical this offering truly is. As someone who typically likes to watch from a distance, even I couldn’t help but pet a curious polar bear or scratch the chin of a playful fox. It’s engaging and while I still prefer to

Guests who can’t get enough of the Merry Menagerie (everyone), can find merchandise available nearby. Shirts, magnets, ornaments, and even puppets are available!

The Merry Menagerie is offered daily at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, weather permitting, and will run through the end of the year.
