Mural Refurbishment Continues at Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Magic Kingdom

Originally built in 1917 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Co., Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is continuing to receive updates in the form of a mural refurbishment. We made it out to Magic Kingdom recently to check in on the project, which appears to be mostly complete at this point.

The Carrousel invites guests to climb aboard one of 90 wood-carved ornate horses – or one intricately carved chariot – and enjoy organ-based Disney classics played during a roughly 2-minute ride. A portion of the mural remains behind tarps, and some exposed portions of the mural show an unpainted exterior in two spots.

Here’s a look at some details that were freshly repainted, and some awaiting a new coat of paint.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel remains open to guests during the work.
