In a virtual town hall today, Nelson Peltz and Jay Rasulo talked about their plans for Disney CEO Bob Iger should they be elected to the Disney Board of Directors. One of the questions they were presented with was whether or not they’d fire Disney CEO Bob Iger. Both answered a solid no, saying that their plan is not to come in and fire Iger, but rather to try and turn Disney around.
Rasulo said that he worked closely with Iger for 15 years and that he doesn’t think they ever shared a cross word. Rasulo said he is certain he can work with Iger.
The proxy battle for Board seats has been heating up, with Disney launching VoteDisney.com and Trian launching RestoreTheMagic.com. The results of a shareholder vote will be revealed at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders on April 3rd.
