Disney World has announced that Test Track will be closed starting June 17th to support the reimagining announced at the 2023 Destination D23 event.
A new piece of concept art was also released, showing an all-new entrance. The concept art shows the removal of the canopy, a new sign, a new overhang, and it also confirms that Single Rider will still exist when the attraction reopens. A reopening date has not been announced.
Here’s the announcement from Disney:
Our Disney Imagineers are gearing up to bring the next iteration of Test Track to life and are reaching back into our history for inspiration, including the original World of Motion attraction from the early days of EPCOT. Today, we’re sharing a first look at a brand-new rendering of the attraction.
To prepare for this new version, Test Track presented by Chevrolet will close temporarily beginning June 17, 2024. We will have more details about the continuation of the Test Track story at a later time.
