In addition to the retirement of the Animal Kingdom flotillas and new/returning character meet and greets today, Disney is also starting a surprise & delight character meet and greet at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
Unlike the Pocahontas, Goofy, and Pluto meet and greets that we covered this morning, the surprise meet and greets at Rafiki’s Planet Watch could be a little less reliable. From what we’re told, they should be daily offerings between now and the June 10th debut of a Rafiki and Timon meet and greet.
When we visited today, Eeyore and Pooh were rotating meeting with guests in the plaza in front of the Conservation Station building. They should be easy to spot, but Cast Members in the area will also be able to help. We met with both characters before hopping back on the Wildlife Express to Africa. Note that the characters are not listed in the My Disney Experience app, and that their presence isn’t guaranteed and subject to weather. It’s also possible that the characters meeting here will change over the next month or so as well.
