‘Twas a glorious seven days of (basically) no construction walls at EPCOT, but as the elders tell us, EPCOT is never without construction walls for very long. Today, construction progress walls are installed around Test Track as the “2.0” version of the attraction had its final day of operation yesterday. Imagineers have begun work on bringing an all-new “3.0” version of the ride to EPCOT in the future.
Construction Walls at Test Track
Construction walls show off a new Test Track logo, and say that the next version of the ride is “Coming Soon”.

The walkways around Test Track remain mostly open, with construction walls blocking direct access to Test Track and the SIMporium gift shop.
Somehow, this Test Track 1.0 light pole exists outside of space and time. It also exists outside of the construction walls.
Test Track 3.0
Disney says that the new version of Test Track will reach back into its history, including drawing inspiration from the original World of Motion attraction, to create the next iteration of the ride.
Disney World will also reimagine the exterior of the attraction, removing the canopy and creating a more sleek entrance for the ride. It is expected that the track layout will not change, but that’s not to say that there won’t be significant changes to the ride experience.
Test Track is expected to remain a thrill ride when the new version debuts. It’s likely that the attraction will be closed for at least a year, if not longer as Disney makes upgrades to the vehicles and show scenes.
