Disney Vacation Club Members visiting EPCOT right now are currently lounge-less after the closure of the Odyssey Pavilion and an extension of the refurbishment of the Imagination Pavilion lounge. As you may remember, the Imagination Pavilion lounge closed back in early June for what would eventually be revealed to be an elevator refurbishment. During the closure of the Imagination Pavilion lounge, DVC Members could head over to the Odyssey events pavilion for a rather awkwardly presented temporary lounge.
While visiting EPCOT earlier today, we noticed that the Odyssey events pavilion was closed, and signage directing DVC Members to the venue was covered. If we had to guess, the Odyssey Pavilion is being prepared for the upcoming Food & Wine Festival. Earlier this month, we noticed that there were preparations already underway around World Showcase, so it would make sense that Disney is preparing the Odyssey as well.
Unfortunately, the refurbishment of the Imagination Pavilion lounge elevator has run well past the previously announced July 14th end date, and an updated message on the Disney Vacation Club website does not have a reopening date:
Please note the Member Lounge in the Imagination! Pavilion is temporarily closed due to a scheduled refurbishment. Please check back here for more information on when the Member Lounge is scheduled to reopen.
At the moment, Disney Vacation Club Members are lounge-less, unless you count the recently opened gathering space at Disney Springs. Of course, with a much smaller capacity than the Imagination Pavilion lounge, the Disney Springs gathering space is not being billed as a lounge, and there could be some significant wait times for Members to enjoy the space on any given day.
Of course, this could all change tomorrow if the Imagination Pavilion lounge reopens, but with no published reopening date, DVC Members are lounge-less indefinitely.
