There’s a new pavement in town, and it belongs to Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. A section of themed pavement has recently been unveiled just across the bridge into Adventureland from Main Street USA, and while it’s new for the area, it looks familiar. The pavement adds some texture to the ground in Adventureland, similar to some new(ish) pavement that was installed in Frontierland a little less than a year ago. It reminds me of portions of New Fantasyland as well.
Visually, there are elements similar to Pandora – The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as well, with a green moss-type application in spots. The change is striking when compared to the relatively plain concrete currently found in the area. Let’s take a look!
New Themed Pavement in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom
More pavement is cut and ready to be replaced nearby. At the risk of overselling, I think the new themed pavement will dramatically change the feel of the area.
Adventureland currently has a lot of different styles of pavement. Perhaps the themed pavement pictured above at the entrance to the land will carry through all the way to Pirates of the Caribbean. Here’s a look at some of the current styles of themed pavement found in Adventureland.
