Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will have to pony up and pay full price for Disney After Hours events at Magic Kingdom in 2025. Earlier today, dates and details were announced for the return of the popular event that takes place on select days after the theme parks close to day guests.
While Walt Disney World has traditionally offered discounted special event tickets to Annual Passholders and DVC Members in the past, that won’t be the case when Disney After Hours returns to Magic Kingdom in 2025. Annual Pass and DVC discounts of $30 per ticket will be offered for Disney After Hours at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2025.
Walt Disney World has not announced exact pricing but says that Magic Kingdom tickets will be the most expensive of the After Hours events, ranging from $175 to $185 (plus tax) per person. Tickets go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on September 4. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale September 10.
Interestingly, Walt Disney World has only announced After Hours dates for Magic Kingdom through May 19th. EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have dates through September. It’s possible (read: likely) that the Disney Starlight nighttime parade will debut sometime after May 19th, 2025, and that evening summer crowds are expected to be elevated at Magic Kingdom due to the new nighttime parade. Disney loves a Memorial Day Weekend summer kickoff, but an exact opening date has not been announced for Starlight yet.
In terms of other reasons why an Annual Passholder and DVC discount would not be offered at the event, I’m a bit stumped. TRON Lightcycle Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are the newest major attractions at the park, and both will be available via standby during the event, but that’s not enough to push it over the top. It’s possible that Disney is forecasting enough demand for the Magic Kingdom version of the event that they don’t feel the need to entice frequent visitors.
Whatever the reason, be prepared to pay full price when the tickets go on sale next month. For a review of the 2024 version of the event, check out our article below!
