Tonight is the first Disney After Hours event of the 2025 season, and Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction will not be open during the event. Walt Disney World initially announced that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure would be open and offered via a standby queue during the event. The Disney Parks Blog article was quietly updated to remove mention of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at some point. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is not listed on the Disney After Hours event handout for guests attending tonight’s event.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Continues to Struggle
If we had to guess, the removal of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure from the Disney After Hours lineup has to do with the continued unreliability of the attraction.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened at Magic Kingdom on June 28th, and Walt Disney World announced that a Virtual Queue would only be utilized “during the attraction’s initial opening days”. Well, the ride proved to be unreliable early on and Walt Disney World has not been able to fix whatever issues are plaguing the ride.
Last month, we wrote an article about how the reliability of Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction was regressing as Disneyland began operating a standby queue.
Now, with the quiet removal of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure from the attraction lineup, I can only guess that Walt Disney World has decided that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was not reliable enough to operate during Disney After Hours. With Big Thunder Mountain Railroad now closed until 2026, the only offering open in Frontierland during Disney After Hours events in 2025 is the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
We have reached out to Walt Disney World for more information about the removal of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and will keep you updated should they respond.
