Walt Disney World has announced a rare evening launch for Diamond Horseshoe Lounge reservations. Guests can check back on September 29th at 8:00pm ET to book a table, rather than the standard early-morning release most Walt Disney World reservations use. Here’s the latest.

A Rare Evening On-Sale Time

Disney has posted a notice confirming that guests can check back for Diamond Horseshoe dining reservations on September 29th at 8:00pm ET. The pop-up dining offering itself opens October 4th in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. That leaves about five days between the booking window opening and the venue’s actual debut.

Most new Walt Disney World table-service reservations open at 7:00am, in line with the standard 60-day advance booking window. An 8:00pm ET slot breaks from that pattern. The unusual timing suggests Disney wants a controlled, high-attention launch moment. The unusual timing means that website traffic for the lounge reservations should not overlap or cause issues for the normal 7am booking crowd.

An Evening Launch Isn’t Unprecedented

Walt Disney World has used a nighttime on-sale window before. The Beak and Barrel’s reservation booking date opened at 7:00pm ET in August 2025, following an earlier attempt that fell through due to technical issues. Diamond Horseshoe’s evening timing follows a similar approach, perhaps implementing learnings from the Beak & Barrel launch.

Disney has not said why it chose 8:00pm, but the slot may be meant to avoid overlapping with other reservation traffic. What is clear: guests hoping to snag a table should plan to be online right at 8:00pm on September 29th, not in the morning out of habit.

What Guests Will Find When It Opens

The Diamond Horseshoe’s pop-up brings a full food and drink lineup built around shareable frontier-style small plates. It arrives in the Liberty Square space at the former Jessie’s Roundup, the Toy Story activation that ran there over the summer. Disney has not announced a closing date for the pop-up.

The menu spans six savory small plates, four non-alcoholic specialty drinks, five cocktails plus a seasonal pour, and a wine and draft beer selection. Our full menu coverage breaks down every item. Walk-ups will still be accommodated once the pop-up begins, even with reservations available. The venue will sit out the remainder of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. That said, it will be open during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Story So Far

  • Disney announced the Diamond Horseshoe would close to table-service dining in May 2026 to make way for Jessie’s Roundup, a Toy Story activation for Cool Kids’ Summer.
  • Jessie’s Roundup opened early at the Diamond Horseshoe on May 24, running through September 8, 2026.
  • Disney revealed a first look at the fall pop-up’s menu in early August 2026, ahead of a full menu and opening date announcement confirming an October 4th debut and September 29th reservation date.
