As Shanghai braces for a direct hit from Typhoon Bebinca, Shanghai Disneyland will be closed on Monday, September 16th. The theme park currently plans to resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 17th. According to the Hong Kong Observatory, Typhoon Bebinca is currently a low-grade typhoon with maximum sustained winds of around 90mph. Here’s the announcement from Shanghai Disneyland:
Shanghai Disneyland Closed Due to Typhoon Bebinca
Due to the impact of Typhoon Bebinca, we will adjust the operation hours for Shanghai Disney Resort on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown and Wishing Star Park will be closed from 17:00. Outdoor entertainment including ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration and all performances of Enjoying the Moon with Duffy and Friends (including the special edition in collaboration with Shanghai Huju Opera Theatre) will be cancelled. Outdoor attractions and other outdoor performances are highly likely to be suspended or cancelled during mid-day due to poor weather conditions.
Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown and Wishing Star Park will remain closed on Monday, September 16, 2024. The two resort hotels will continue to provide services to in-house guests during the impacted time period.
