While visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently, we noticed that The World’s Largest Pin Truck has an updated collection of extinct pins on display. As you may know, The World’s Largest Pin Truck debuted back in October 2022 in DinoLand USA as a way to repurpose an existing truck and display “pins of extinction”. Since then, the display has been updated a couple of times per year, and a new(ish) set of pins is now on display. Here’s a look!
Chip & Dale 80th Anniversary Pins
Sleeping Beauty 65th Anniversary Pins
Mulan 25th Anniversary Pins
The Mulan 25th Anniversary Mystery set was a limited release with each pack containing 2 randomly selected pins from 10 overall designs. It celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Disney’s Mulan (1998). When the complete set is collected it can be arranged to form a sword.
Disney Afternoon Pins
Disney Spring Rides Pins
Disney Arcade Pins
Beginning in January of each year, Disney Pins kicks off new Pin of the Month and Quarterly collections. There are some that are Walt Disney World only, some that are Disneyland Resort only, and some that are shared between both coasts.
Typically, a Pin of the Month series has 12 pins and a quarterly consists of 4.
All Pin of the Month and Quarterlies are limited edition pins. They will only be made once, and when they are gone, they are gone. The packaging calls out a Limited Edition pin, and in the shops they are found behind the registers or in a locked case. The back stamp of the pin will call out the edition size, but it will not be on the backer card.
