Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks to Replace Happily Ever After During Busy Christmas Week at Magic Kingdom

    Published:

Walt Disney World has confirmed that Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will be presented at Magic Kingdom during the peak Christmas Week this year. As a result of the return of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, the standard Happily Ever After fireworks show will not be shown. Walt Disney World typically replaces regular programming with holiday-themed programming at Magic Kingdom during the holiday season, and the tradition continues this year. Here’s a look at the holiday fireworks schedule for Magic Kingdom.

Christmas & New Year’s Eve Fireworks Schedule for Magic Kingdom

    • Now – Dec. 18: Happily Ever After presented on non-party nights
    • Now – Dec. 20: Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks presented exclusively on party nights
    • Dec. 21 – Dec. 29: Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks replaces Happily Ever After as Magic Kingdom’s nightly fireworks show
    • Dec. 30, Dec. 31: Fantasy In The Sky Fireworks for 2-night New Year’s Eve party (standard with park admission)
    • Jan. 1: Happily Ever After returns

Walt Disney World has not yet updated its parade calendar to reflect daytime performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade yet at Magic Kingdom, but they have indicated that performances of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade ends on December 20th.

A return date has not yet been announced for the Festival of Fantasy Parade, but it is very likely that Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be performed during the daytime hours instead of the Festival of Fantasy Parade starting December 21st.

    Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show debuted in 2019 as part of a refreshed offering for that season’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The fireworks show combines a stunning fireworks display with projections on Cinderella Castle, all while being hosted by Minnie Mouse.

The fireworks show celebrates the magic of Christmas with medleys of beloved holiday songs, from “Joy to the World” and “Deck the Halls” to “Up on the House Top” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” The holiday music aims to evoke heartfelt moments of home and family, as well as the festive fun of the season.
