While visiting EPCOT recently, we decided to take a spin on the monorail to get an updated look at the work taking place for the Test Track reimagining. As you may know, Test Track is currently closed for a reimagining that will introduce the 3.0 version of the ride. The new version of Test Track will open sometime next year at EPCOT, and as part of the update, the attraction is receiving a new, sleek entrance. Here’s a look at the latest work as the sun started to set.
Test Track Signage Removed, Construction Continues on New Entrance
While our most recent update on the project came from some 3,000′ in the air, our latest update from below the clouds was back in early October as work was taking place to pour the foundations needed for the new entrance design. Here’s a look at concept art of the new look for the Test Track 3.0 entrance.
Turning our attention back to our recent visit, we can see that the former marquee has been completely removed from in front of the attraction.
Closer to the building, we can see that the foundation pours appear to be complete, and the footings are in place for the new, sleek overhang at the entrance to the attraction.
Nothing much to see in the next photo beyond a facade appreciation photo now that the canopy has opened up the view. The circular building will be much more prominent in the final product than it has been in recent years.
There is some work taking place on the track above the exit (through the gift shop) portion of the building.
