Disney CEO Bob Iger Shares Firsthand Look at Pacific Palisades Fire, Offers Statement

A number of fires are causing considerable devastation in Southern California, and Disney CEO Bob Iger drove through one of the most impacted areas, Pacific Palisades, to witness the devastation firsthand. The Pacific Palisades fire has spread to more than 15,000 acres, causing catastrophic damage along its path, and CAL FIRE says that the fire is at 0% containment at this hour.

I drove through Pacific Palisades today and witnessed firsthand the devastation caused by the fires. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost homes and businesses, and to all whose lives have been impacted, including thousands of Disney employees.

The Walt Disney Company has not issued a statement yet, but likely will offer a statement in the coming days.

As for Disneyland itself, the theme park and resort hotels are far enough away from the fires to not be impacted by either the threat of flames or air quality at this time. There are no operational impacts to the theme parks.
