As we continue to keep an eye on preparations for the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, we noticed that the Young Groot topiary has moved to a new location this year. The move puts Groot into the limelight a bit more than last year when he was tucked away off the beaten path a bit. In fact, the Groot topiary has swapped locations with the Prehistoric Garden, which we’ll also take a look at in this article. Let’s dive in!
Young Groot Topiary Moves to New Location
Before we take a detailed look at the topiary, here’s a look at where you can find Groot this year. You’ll still head over to World Discovery, but instead of searching for Groot, you’ll find him near the Liquid Layer splash area. Essentially, Groot can be found in the World Discovery plaza where walkways to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, and Mission: SPACE combined.
Here’s a closer look at Groot, who looks the same as last year. Last year, Groot’s “Green-House Mix Vol. 1” spun and played actual music. There was no movement from the mixtape and no sound when we visited this afternoon, but the 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival doesn’t start until March 5th, so it would be a bit premature to judge the final product. That said, we can take a look at the topiary itself!
Here’s a look at the new location for the Prehistoric Garden, which is where Groot was located last year in a pathway between Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Mission: SPACE. The swap is a smart one, putting the more popular Groot topiary on the main walkway and making the Prehistoric Garden a fun find. The Prehistoric Garden features some flora and fauna from prehistoric times. Here’s a look at the garden and the little plastic dinosaurs that are sprinkled throughout.
