The western exit to Spaceship Earth is now closed as work continues for GEO-82, an adults-only lounge being built at the attraction. While visiting EPCOT today, we noticed newly installed construction walls, blocking off one of two exits from the Project Tomorrow post-show area for Spaceship Earth. Here’s a look around.
Spaceship Earth Exit Blocked for GEO-82 Construction
Starting outside of the attraction exit, we can see that planters have been placed at the exit, indicating that guests can’t use this egress. It is believed that this side of the building will be where the entrance to the Spaceship Earth lounge will be located. In fact, we took a closer look at the anticipated main entrance to the lounge in an earlier article.
Heading inside, we can see that the western exit is blocked off. Walt Disney World has previously announced a late Spring opening timeframe for the lounge, which means that we might see a newly renovated lounge entrance when these construction walls are removed.
We’ll close the article with a look back at previously released concept art, giving you an idea of what to expect when the adults-only GEO-82 Spaceship Earth lounge opens in the coming months.
