Construction walls have been removed, and the eastern entrance/exit to the Spaceship Earth post-show experience has reopened at EPCOT. The construction walls were installed back in early January, and the attraction and Project Tomorrow post-show experience remained open throughout. There was some speculation that this construction was for a new entrance to the upcoming Spaceship Earth lounge, but we’ll soon take a closer look at why we don’t think that’s the case. Here’s a look around!
Construction Walls Removed from Spaceship Earth Exterior
We’ll start with a look at the eastern entrance/exit for Project Tomorrow. This area was behind construction walls over the past two months, leading some to believe that this was work for the entrance to the new Spaceship Earth lounge. As it turns out, the work may be related to issues found with the Spaceship Earth project, or it may be completely unrelated. Either way, it’s not for the entrance to the lounge.
As you can see in the photos below, the area just inside the automatic doors doesn’t appear to be big enough to support an entrance to a lounge.
In the wider photo above of the exit/entrance hallway, we can see that there is a tarp covering a portion of the ceiling. As we’ll soon see, there are some extensive ceiling repairs taking place both inside and outside of this area of the building. It’s possible that some work taking place in the lounge construction site upstairs prompted the ceiling work, but we don’t have any additional info on that right now.

The ceiling work even took place outside, which is what we assume the construction walls were for.
Anticipated Spaceship Earth Lounge Entrance
Finally, let’s head over to the western exit to the Project Tomorrow post-show experience to find what we believe will be the entrance to the Spaceship Earth lounge. This is where the entrance to the former Siemens lounge was, so it would make sense that Disney would want to utilize the same area – complete with elevator and welcome foyer.
