New Construction Underway on Exterior of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT

New construction progress walls have arrived at EPCOT on the side of the Spaceship Earth attraction in World Celebration. The new walls are on the eastern side of the building where the Project Tomorrow post-show exit is located. Here’s a look!

New Construction Walls at Spaceship Earth in EPCOT

As you can see in the photos below, the new construction walls are blocking the eastern egress for the Project Tomorrow post-show experience for Spaceship Earth. The attraction and all Project Tomorrow interactive games remain open to guests.

The construction wall setup itself is rather odd, with a low wall blocking access to the area, but larger construction walls also in place. If I had to guess, I’d say that this work is somehow related to the new lounge upstairs that will open this Spring. That said, I’m nowhere near confident that these construction walls are related to that work at all. The construction walls seem to be rather limited in scope, with the indoor portion of the walls not blocking much more than the doorway.

We’ll start with a look at the exterior of the venue before moving indoors.

New Spaceship Earth lounge will be behind those windows

Until we know more, we’ll just call this “Project”.
