Walt Disney World has added more time at three of its theme parks for Thanksgiving week, according to new park hours on the Walt Disney World website. Magic Kingdom has the most changes, with earlier openings, later closings, and a longer Thanksgiving Day. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom each gained time on two dates, and EPCOT’s schedule held steady. Here’s the latest.

- A recap of every change by park and date.
Thanksgiving week is one of the busiest stretches of the year, and Disney is adding operating hours to match. The Walt Disney World website now shows new schedules at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom for dates from Sunday, November 22nd through Saturday, November 28th. Most of the new time falls between Sunday and Tuesday, and Magic Kingdom also adds hours on Thanksgiving Day and the Saturday after.
Magic Kingdom Opens Early and Closes Late on Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Day has the biggest change. On Thursday, November 26th, Magic Kingdom now opens at 8:00am with Early Theme Park Entry at 7:30am, an hour earlier than before. The park also closes at 11:00pm instead of 10:00pm. That makes for a 15-hour day, plus a half hour more for Disney Resort hotel guests.
Three more nights gain an extra hour. Magic Kingdom now closes at 11:00pm on Sunday, November 22nd, Monday, November 23rd, and Saturday, November 28th, up from 10:00pm. Disney already added an 11:00pm close on Saturday, November 21st last month. Every night from November 21st through 28th without Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party now ends at 11:00pm.
Tuesday, November 24th is one of those party nights. Day guests can now enter at 8:00am, or 7:30am with Early Theme Park Entry, an hour earlier than the 9:00am opening Disney listed before. The park still closes at 6:00pm ahead of the party, which starts at 7:00pm. Like every November party night, November 24th has already sold out.
Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Add Time
Hollywood Studios opens half an hour earlier on two dates. On Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th, the park now opens at 8:30am with Early Theme Park Entry at 8:00am, where Disney had listed a 9:00am opening. Closing times stay the same. Day guests head out at 7:00pm on November 23rd ahead of Disney Jollywood Nights, which was one of three November nights with tickets left as of November 4th. On November 24th, the park closes at 9:00pm.
Animal Kingdom stays open later on two days. The park now closes at 7:00pm on Sunday, November 22nd, and at 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 24th, when it had closed at 6:00pm on both dates. Its 8:00am opening and 7:30am Early Theme Park Entry didn’t change. November 24th now has the longest Animal Kingdom day of Thanksgiving week.
EPCOT keeps its 9:00am to 9:00pm hours every day of Thanksgiving week. Select Disney Resort hotel guests still get Extended Evening Hours there on Monday, November 23rd, from 9:00pm to 11:00pm.
