Good morning from Magic Kingdom where testing is underway on the Astro Orbiter. While riding the Tomorrowland PeopleMover, we noticed that Cast Members were on the Astro Orbiter platform, working on the ride. Here’s a look!
Astro Orbiter Testing Ahead of Reopening
It looked like there were a couple of ride programmers, and a Tomorrowland Cast Member to operate the panel during the testing. When we dropped by this morning, they were working on the raise/lower function of the entire unit, with some rockets receiving individual attention.
Walt Disney World has not announced a reopening timeframe for the Astro Orbiter beyond “this Summer”. We do discuss our speculation on a reopening timeframe for the Astro Orbiter in our article below talking about a closing timeframe for the nearby Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
