PPG Paints Rebrand to “Pittsburgh Paints Company” Spotted on Hollywood Studios Construction Walls

|

Earlier this year, PPG Paints announced that it would be rebranding as The Pittsburgh Paints Company. The Pittsburgh Paints name isn’t a new one. In fact, Pittsburgh Paints was the original brand name for PPG Paints. With the announcement, PPG said that it would be rolling out the new name gradually throughout 2025, and new construction walls at Disney’s Hollywood Studios now showcase the rebrand. Here’s a closer look!

PPG Rebrand to Pittsburgh Paints Company Spotted at Walt Disney World

As you may remember, Disney and PPG Paints entered into a multi-year agreement that labeled PPG as the official paint provider for Walt Disney World and Disneyland. As part of the agreement, PPG logos were added to construction wall signage around Walt Disney World, starting with construction walls at EPCOT in August 2023.

Since then, the construction wall signage has evolved a bit, even being themed to individual lands at Magic Kingdom. One thing remained the same: the PPG Paints logo. Now, that’s changing.

Back in April, PPG Paints announced a rebrand into The Pittsburgh Paints Company. The rebrand introduced a new logo and tagline, “priming you for success”. The Pittsburgh Paints Company says that the rebrand symbolizes the Company’s 150-year history of expertise and legacy.

“Our logo is a fresh take on the heritage of the ‘Drippy P’ that our customers still recognize and reference. The new P combines our legacy with our new chapter as a now independent company,” said Jenny Burroughs, Chief Marketing Officer, Pittsburgh Paints Co. “In just a few words, our tagline clearly demonstrates our dedication to our customers through expertise, hustle, vision and partnership for growth. Whether it’s a product, a service, or problem that we’re helping to solve, we want to be the ones to empower those who build, create and protect.”
