Friend of the site Bioreconstruct recently took to the skies over Walt Disney World for a unique view of the theme parks and resorts. As part of Bio’s flight, they shared some photos of the foundation work taking place for the Monsters Inc. roller coaster. Here’s an updated look at the work taking place!
Aerial Photos of Monsters Inc. Roller Coaster Construction
We last checked in on the project back in early December when the first bits of concrete were poured for the massive show building. Since then, Disney has continued working on the foundation for the roller coaster. I’m not an expert, but it seems like Disney is taking some extra steps for the creation of this show building. It’s possible that the ground underneath is difficult to work with for some reason.
Either way, we have some excellent photos to share courtesy of Bioreconstruct. The photos show ongoing work on the concrete foundation for the massive show building, along with some work on the conduit for the roller coaster.
As a reminder, the Monsters Inc. roller coaster will be themed to the door vault scene from the movie. The attraction will feature the first-ever suspended roller coaster at a Disney theme park, along with a unique vertical lift system to start the ride. The door vault roller coaster is just one part of the new Monsters Inc. Land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
