Walt Disney World has announced that both water parks will return to operation this May when Typhoon Lagoon reopens from refurbishment. As a reminder, Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to have its final day of winter operations on February 14th, with Blizzard Beach reopening on February 15th. Then, both water parks reopen this May. Both Disney World Water Parks Open May 12th
Starting May 12th, Walt Disney World will have both of its water parks open for the Summer season. Blizzard Beach will already be open, but Typhoon Lagoon will return from a refurbishment on May 12th.
It’s expected to be another busy Summer season at the water parks with the return of the free water park perk for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests this Summer.
It’s wonderful to see both water parks in operation at the same time after years of single-park operations following COVID-19 shutdowns and subsequent scalebacks.
Guests looking to enjoy the water parks before the busy Summer season can purchase the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass. The pass allows guests to visit whatever water park is open through May 9th, with some blockout dates.
