Good morning from Magic Kingdom, where Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin continues to hold soft openings for all guests. While the attraction officially reopens on April 8th, daily soft openings have been held since March 30th. Here’s the latest.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Soft Openings Continue
Calling all Space Rangers! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin soft opening operations are continuing at Magic Kingdom today, less than a week before the attraction is set to officially open. While some soft openings this week have begun after the park opened, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin was open right at 8am for all guests.
To participate in the soft opening, simply join the standby queue. There is no requirement to register, and the soft opening is not limited to select guests. All are welcome!
The soft openings have proven to be popular with guests, and wait times are usually at or above 30 minutes. This is on par with what the attraction usually demanded before the refresh, with one caveat.
Due to the nature of the soft opening, there is no Lightning Lane Multi Pass currently offered for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. You may see some guests utilizing the Lightning Lane due to DAS accommodations, but there are no guests booking Lightning Lane right now.
When that changes April 8th, we’d expect to see a negative impact on standby wait times. All that to say, while wait times are currently similar to pre-refurbishment operations, we expect that wait times will climb next week.
