Pueblo Esperanza Clock Tower & Buildings Take Shape Within Tropical Americas Construction Site

Good morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where we’re getting a first look at the construction of the Pueblo Esperanza clock tower and surrounding buildings as construction of a Tropical Americas-themed land continues at an impressive pace.

Pueblo Esperanza Clock Tower Rises at Tropical Americas Land

The steel outline of a clock tower and other themed buildings can now be seen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This is the latest visible construction on a Tropical Americas-themed land that will feature two signature attractions, quick-service dining, and a carousel themed to Disney animals.

As seen in the concept art pieces below, the main corridor into Pueblo Esperanza will take guests under an archway and past a clock tower into the main square. Disney says that the space will be lush and sprawling, featuring a large fountain in the center where the villagers like to gather and tell stories.

Of interest to us is the entrance corridor, where a clock tower and other buildings look to feature a market-style area. Here’s a closer look!

The new town Esperanza will be situated in Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The town features classic Spanish-style architecture in the heart of the rainforest.

While visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, we noticed that the steel outline of the clock tower and nearby buildings is now taking shape.

In the first photo below, we can see some construction taking place just past the construction walls. On the left, crews continue to build the woodcarver carousel. We’re more focused on the new steel installed for the clock tower and market buildings. In the distance, we can see the rooftops of the former Restaurantosaurus venue, which is undergoing its own transformation.
