D23 Asia Heads to Singapore in 2027
For those unfamiliar, D23 is the name of The Official Disney Fan Club, and its signature fan events have become some of the most exciting gatherings in all of entertainment. The “D” stands for Disney, and “23” references 1923, the year Walt Disney opened his first studio in Hollywood. Since launching in 2009, D23 events have grown into massive multi-day celebrations featuring live stage presentations, first-look announcements, interactive experiences, and exclusive merchandise.
D23 Asia in Singapore will carry on that tradition while being tailored specifically for the Asia Pacific audience. Fans can expect top stars and storytellers from Hollywood and around the world, exclusive previews of Disney+ APAC Originals, and the kind of immersive, fan-first experience that has defined D23 events globally.
Why Singapore?
Singapore has become a major hub for large-scale international events, and Disney’s partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board helped make this happen. Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive of the Experience Development Group at the Singapore Tourism Board, called the announcement an exciting milestone, noting that it strengthens Singapore’s position as a premier destination for memorable experiences and adds to the city’s growing calendar of world-class events.
From Disney’s side, the choice reflects the rapidly growing Disney fan base across the Asia Pacific region. Carol Choi, Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing and APAC Original Strategy at The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, noted that D23 Asia represents a natural evolution in Disney’s efforts to bring unforgettable fan experiences to audiences across this diverse region in new and meaningful ways.

The flagship D23 Expo event continues to be held in Anaheim, California, where it has drawn massive crowds and generated major announcements across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more.
When Can You Go, and How Much Will Tickets Cost?
Disney has not yet announced specific dates, ticket prices, or detailed programming for D23 Asia 2027. In the meantime, Disney fans in the Asia Pacific region have a lot to look forward to.
