What Is a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel?

The Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel designation allows guests to book a stay at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, located just minutes from Walt Disney World Resort, as part of a Walt Disney World vacation package. That means theme park admission can be bundled directly with a hotel reservation, either through the Walt Disney World website or by calling the Walt Disney World reservations center.

General Manager Majed Farah highlighted the appeal for families: “This partnership makes planning a Walt Disney World vacation seamless for our guests, allowing them to book their entire experience while enjoying their stay with us.”

Eric Watkins, director of Travel Industry Sales and Marketing for Disney Destinations, also weighed in: “We are thrilled to work alongside such a fantastic team with this new relationship, infusing the magic of a Walt Disney World vacation with the unforgettable experiences that can be found throughout Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for families.”

Complimentary Shuttle Service

Guests staying at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress receive complimentary resort shuttle transportation to several key Walt Disney World destinations, including the Transportation and Ticket Center, EPCOT, and Disney Springs. The shuttle service also includes connecting service to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Resort Amenities

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress sits on 1,500 acres adjacent to Walt Disney World and offers a wide range of onsite amenities. Guests can also take advantage of walking and jogging trails, watersports on the resort’s private Lake Windsong, and Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses nearby.

Dining options include Four Flamingos: A Richard Blais Florida Kitchen, a Michelin-recommended restaurant from celebrity chef Richard Blais, along with Lakehouse Restaurant and On The Rocks Poolside Grill.

The resort was recognized among the top five Orlando resorts in both the 2025 Condรฉ Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards and the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings.

Room options range from standard guest rooms to suites, including the 2,375-square-foot President’s House on the resort’s private lake. The hotel is also pet-friendly.
