  • Disney calls it maintenance work to “resolve the issue” rather than routine, scheduled service

What the Sign Says

The notice says that the shutoff is due to maintenance. Disney says air conditioning service will be temporarily unavailable starting at 7:00am on Wednesday, June 24, and throughout the morning.

The wording matters here, as this is the first public acknowledgment of an issue with the air conditioning system at the Deluxe Resort. Disney did not call this a routine service window. The sign reads, “We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.” That phrasing suggests a problem being fixed, not scheduled upkeep.

How Disney Is Handling It

Disney directs guests to the Front Desk for anything they need during the outage. The sign says Cast Members will be happy to assist with questions or additional assistance.

For a Central Florida summer, an AC outage is no small issue. Guests in affected rooms will want to check with the Front Desk early if the heat becomes an issue before service returns.
