New Lounge to Replace Jellyrolls, Big River Grille Replaced by Mysterious Quick-Service at Disney’s BoardWalk

Disney’s BoardWalk is about to change in a big way. Walt Disney World just announced two brand-new experiences arriving along Crescent Lake, with a third still under wraps. The additions start rolling out in late 2026 and target both daytime visitors and evening crowds. Here’s what we know.

What’s Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk in Late 2026

IN THIS ARTICLE:

  • The seaside theatre lounge that flips from family trivia to 21-and-over live music
  • The handcrafted bath and body shop bringing a make-your-own-soap station
  • The quick-service restaurant Disney is still keeping under wraps
  • When all of this is set to open

A SEASIDE THEATRE LOUNGE CALLED HURLY-BURLY

Guests enjoying live music at a new lounge and restaurant at Disney's BoardWalk.

Hurly-Burly will anchor the waterfront inside a historic seaside theatre. Disney says the space carries a BoardWalk story spanning more than a century, leaning into the turn-of-the-century coastal theme.

The lounge runs on a split personality. During the day, a charismatic host leads family-friendly trivia and games. By night, it becomes a live music venue for guests 21 and over, serving classic coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites alongside the entertainment.

That afternoon-to-evening pivot is interesting. One venue covering both family activities and adult nightlife gives the BoardWalk something it has lacked in recent years. We’re off to a good start!

A MYSTERIOUS QUICK SERVICE

Disney also confirmed a new quick-service restaurant is on the way. Details are coming later this summer, so the name and menu remain unknown for now.

Depending on execution, the quick-service could be an answer to prayers for guests who have long felt the BoardWalk was a disappointing, or at least underdeveloped, deluxe resort when it came to dining options.

BASIN RETURNS WITH A NEW BOARDWALK TWIST

Basin is bringing a bath and body retail experience to the BoardWalk. Disney is calling this location Basin on the BoardWalk, tying the shop to the resort’s coastal heritage.

Inside, the curated collection includes natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, and shampoo and conditioner bars. The interactive elements set this one apart. Disney says guests will find a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finish.

Hands-on retail like this fits the BoardWalk’s slower, stroll-and-shop pace better than a standard merchandise stop.

That makes three new experiences total. Disney frames all of this as a continued evolution of the BoardWalk, with more reasons to book a stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

WHEN IT ALL OPENS

The new experiences begin opening in late 2026. Disney has not broken out individual opening dates for Hurly-Burly, Basin, or the quick-service spot.

We will update this story as Disney shares the restaurant reveal and firm dates. Which of these are you most excited to check out on your next trip to the BoardWalk?
