Everything Coming to D23 Day at Disneyland Resort 2026

The 2026 D23 Day at Disneyland Resort returns Aug. 13, with free Mickey ear hats, a Legends Cavalcade, and a Disney Princess concert leading the day’s offerings. The one-day celebration kicks off D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, running Aug. 14 through 16 in Anaheim. Guests need only valid park admission and a theme park reservation to take part. Here’s everything you can expect to see at D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort!

2026 D23 Day at Disneyland Resort Brings Free Ears, a Cavalcade, and a Princess Concert on Aug. 13

Complimentary Ear Hats and Guides

Guests entering Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure with valid park admission can pick up a complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hat. It features the D23 Day logo and comes with a commemorative guide. Distribution begins at park opening on Aug. 13 and continues while supplies last, with quantities limited.

Disney Legends Cavalcade

The Disney Legends Cavalcade heads down Main Street USA at 1:30pm, supported by the Disneyland Band. Twenty-three characters join the procession alongside select Disney Legends recognized for their work at the company. Cavalcades typically draw crowds early. Guests hoping for a good view should claim a spot along the parade route ahead of time.

Dance Parties and Character Sightings

Tomorrowland Terrace will have music through the day and into the night. Kids and families can join Stitch and friends for “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Bash” from 2pm to 6pm. The “Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Dance Party” takes over that same stage from 7:30pm to 11:30pm.

Guests can also find a pair of characters in Fantasyland. Guests may spot Merlin, from The Sword and the Stone, and the Blue Fairy, from Pinocchio, wandering the land throughout the day.

Photo Opportunities

Guests will find multiple D23 Day photo locations set up at Town Square in Disneyland, Pixar Pier in California Adventure, and in Downtown Disney. Guests looking for a paid keepsake can also visit photo booths in the Hollywood Backlot or the Fantasyland Theater. Both offer D23 Day-themed photo strips for an additional fee.

Guests with valid admission and a reservation on Aug. 13 can claim complimentary, unlimited downloads of any Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day. Photographers will also run special Magic Shots throughout the parks.

Merchandise Collections

Several collections debut alongside D23 Day, spread across shops at both parks and Downtown Disney.

The D23 Day Logo Collection includes a tee, trading pin, and magnet, sold at the Emporium in Disneyland, Elias & Co. in California Adventure, and World of Disney in Downtown Disney.
A Disneylandia Collection, developed with Southern California streetwear brand Viva La Bonita, is named “Donde Empiezan Los Sueños.” It centers on how Disneyland has inspired dreamers and is sold at the Emporium, Elias & Co., and The D-Lander Shop.
A collection marking the 30th anniversary of The Hunchback of Notre Dame includes a Spirit Jersey, ear headband, trading pin, and mug. It’s available at the Emporium, Off the Page in California Adventure, and World of Disney. The same collection will also be sold at the D23 Marketplace inside the Anaheim Convention Center, and it’s expected to arrive on DisneyStore.com at a later date.
A pastel apparel line marking the 75th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, themed to the Queen of Hearts’ love of croquet, is sold at Clothiers in Disneyland, Elias & Co., and The D-Lander Shop. It carries the same Marketplace and DisneyStore.com plan as the Hunchback collection.
New D23 Day medallions are being sold both individually and as a four-medallion set for the first time, each featuring the D23 Day logo. They’re sold at Candy Palace in Disneyland, the Kingswell Shop in California Adventure, and near the Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney.

Popcorn Bucket and Treats

A Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost popcorn bucket goes on sale for a limited time starting Aug. 13. Disneyland carries it at Harbour Galley, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, and the Frontierland and New Orleans Square popcorn carts. California Adventure carries it at the Grizzly Peak Airfield and Carthay Circle Restaurant carts. Purchases are capped at two per person per transaction, with no discounts applied.

Candy Palace, Trolley Treats, and Disney Wonderful World of Sweets are also selling a Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey cake pop for a limited time.

Hotel Activities and a Camp Rock Tie-In

Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings sets up in Rose Court Garden at Disneyland Hotel on Aug. 13. The activation brings immersive entertainment and photo opportunities built around how the brand’s love stories come together. Disneyland Hotel is also debuting a photo opportunity themed to the upcoming Disney Channel film Camp Rock 3. It runs throughout August, according to Disney.

“Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration”

D23 Day closes with a live performance of “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration,” timed ahead of World Princess Week. It takes place at Paradise Gardens Park in California Adventure. Disney describes the show as the largest gathering of Disney Princess talent ever assembled, spanning animation, live-action, stage, and music, with fountains and projections built into the performance. The concert also streams on Disney+ and airs on Disney Channel, Freeform, and The Wonderful World of Disney on ABC Aug. 16.

If you’re attending in person, you’ll need to join a Virtual Queue. Virtual Queue enrollment opens at 12pm PST through the Disneyland app. Guests can join once they’ve entered California Adventure, or after entering Disneyland with a valid Park Hopper ticket. Each guest gets assigned a group and a push notification when that group is called. From there, guests head to the Hyperion Theater Courtyard between 4pm and 6pm to scan a ticket and pick up a wristband. Wristbands need a signed filming release, and won’t be replaced if lost or damaged. Disney notes that Virtual Queue groups are extremely limited and that showtimes are subject to change or cancellation.

Two performances are on the schedule, at 8:30pm and 9:45pm PST.

Fans who aren’t attending the Anaheim event can still access these offers by joining D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.

Limited-time food and drink items are open to any guest at Downtown Disney during that same window. A Family Gold Ube Cheesecake is available at Parkside Market, while Beignets Expressed carries a Berry Bliss & Choco Crunch Duo. Ballast Point Brewery Co., Céntrico, Vista Parkside Market, and Paseo are also offering specialty drinks for the occasion.
