Walt Disney Imagineering Unveils New .YNSD Lifestyle Brand

Walt Disney Imagineering has introduced .YNSD, a new lifestyle apparel and accessories brand created by a collective of Imagineers. The brand takes its name from a reversal of “Disney” with the vowels removed, and it doubles as a nod to Yen Sid, Sorcerer Mickey’s mentor in Disney’s Fantasia. Disney says the brand grew out of Mickey’s of Glendale, the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store, and will make its public debut at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

  • .YNSD is a new lifestyle brand created by a collective of Imagineers, debuting at D23 Expo 2026.
  • The brand’s first two collections include a debut lineup and a set inspired by Haunted Mansion Parlor.
  • .YNSD grew out of Mickey’s of Glendale, the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store.

What Is Imagineering’s .YNSD

Disney describes .YNSD as a design-first brand. Materials, textures, silhouettes, and construction details carry the story instead of a familiar graphic slapped on a garment. Each collection starts from an idea, a place, a texture, or a moment of inspiration. That inspiration then works into the finished pieces through hidden references and design choices that reward a closer look.

The name itself carries one of those references. .YNSD, pronounced “yen-sid,” reverses “Disney” without vowels. Its spelling also nods to Yen Sid, the sorcerer who mentors Mickey in Fantasia. Disney says some of the brand’s other references show up immediately, while others only reveal themselves with time.

.YNSD grew out of Mickey’s of Glendale, the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store that Disney has long used to spotlight Imagineering’s culture and creative work. As we reported when Disney unveiled the WDI Color Block Collection for D23 Expo 2026, Mickey’s of Glendale has been rolling out multiple new collections ahead of this year’s event. More reveals are coming as D23 approaches, according to Disney.

Collection 1: The Debut Collection

The first .YNSD collection sets up the brand’s overall look. Clean silhouettes, modern essentials, and what Disney calls a fresh take on Disney-inspired apparel define the lineup, which spans tees, crewnecks, outerwear, and accessories built around craftsmanship and understated design rather than bold graphics.

Tonal graphics, embroidered details, custom trims, and utility-inspired accents run through the collection. Disney designed the pieces to work as easily in a creative workspace as they do outside of one. The line also builds in several layers of discovery. Custom patches, specialty finishes, and photochromic inks reveal additional graphics when exposed to sunlight, while other references sit quietly in the construction itself rather than up front.

Collection 2: Inspired by Haunted Mansion Parlor

The second .YNSD collection pulls from Haunted Mansion Parlor, the lounge aboard the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Rather than reproducing familiar characters or attraction iconography, the collection draws on the Victorian textiles, layered patterns, ornate flourishes, and hidden motifs that give the space its identity. Those elements get reworked across apparel, accessories, and lifestyle pieces.

A custom pattern inspired by the textiles and decorative details found throughout Haunted Mansion Parlor anchors the collection and shows up across multiple items. Disney says fans who look closely will find ghostly imagery worked into floral arrangements. Subtle symbols and other references drawn from the space’s atmosphere round out the design. Like the lounge that inspired it, the collection keeps revealing details over repeated wear.

Disney will make Collections 1 and 2 available to shop for the first time when D23 opens. The event runs August 14th through 16th at the Anaheim Convention Center. Tickets start at $49 through D23.com.
