Disney confirmed the official name for its Encanto attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The ride is called Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and it will take guests through the magical Casita from Encanto. Critically, the ride will not have a height requirement. Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios Jared Bush, who wrote and directed Encanto, joined Imagineers for the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress panel at the Honda Center to share the update.

Bush said the project has let Imagineers expand the world of Encanto beyond the film. Imagineers built new parts of the Madrigal house that never appeared on screen. The attraction takes place on Antonio’s gift day, when he receives his ability to communicate with animals. Guests will enter Casita and take part in the celebration.
Voice Cast and Ride Vehicle Details
Voice actors from the film are returning for the ride. Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow, and Diane Guerrero will reprise their roles as Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela. Disney shared a behind-the-scenes video of the cast recording new dialogue for the attraction. Darrow called it “a perfect film” for translating its colors and energy into a physical space. Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will not have a height requirement, making it a family-friendly addition to Animal Kingdom’s lineup.
The ride vehicles are designed to look like pieces of furniture that Casita’s magic has brought to life. Disney said the vehicles react to the scenes around them, almost like characters themselves. The vehicles carry riders through the house’s rooms and continue the journey upstairs in Antonio’s room. Imagineers transformed that bedroom space into a rainforest filled with more than 50 animal species. Disney shared a first look at some of them in action, including a capybara receiving a haircut, a toucan, and a donkey.
Imagineer Joan Hartwig previously detailed a research trip the team took to Colombia to study the region’s colors, materials, and culture firsthand. Walt Disney Imagineering also partnered with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team on the project. That partnership keeps the ride’s animal representations accurate to Colombia.
What Else Is Coming to Tropical Americas
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is one of two headlining attractions in Tropical Americas. This 11-acre land is replacing DinoLand USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The other headliner is Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, which also received its name and story details during this year’s D23 Expo presentation.
Disney also confirmed the name of the land’s carousel: El Carrusel de los Animalitos. The carousel will feature 22 hand-carved animal figures pulled from Disney and Pixar stories. Disney is still finalizing food and beverage plans for the land. The company said Tropical Americas will include a large hacienda that will rank among the largest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World. A play area themed to Maya culture will also let younger guests dig for artifacts.
