The Walt Disney Company has announced that Disney Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston will participate in a question-and-answer session at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on September 9th. Johnston has used appearances like this one throughout 2025 and 2026 to reveal new details about the parks business. Past sessions have touched on attendance, pricing, and Disney’s ongoing expansion plans.

  • Disney CFO Hugh Johnston will participate in a Q&A session at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on September 9th
  • The session will stream live and will be archived afterward for replay
  • Johnston has repeatedly used similar investor conferences to share new details about Disney’s theme parks business

Johnston, Disney’s Chief Financial Officer, will participate in a question-and-answer session at the Goldman Sachs Conference on Wednesday, September 9th. The session is scheduled for approximately 2:30pm ET, or 11:30am PT. Disney will stream the session live on its investor relations website. The company will also archive a recording there afterward for anyone who misses the live broadcast.

Disney noted that the question-and-answer session may include forward-looking information. That is standard language for any appearance where executives could discuss future plans or projections. The announcement did not preview which specific topics Johnston plans to address.

Johnston’s Recent Conference Appearances Have Produced Some Parks News

Investor conferences like Communacopia might sound disconnected from the day-to-day experience of visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland, but Johnston has proven otherwise. At the 2026 MoffettNathanson Conference in May, Johnston confirmed that Disney’s domestic theme parks are essentially operating at capacity. He also detailed how the company’s $60 billion Experiences investment plan is meant to increase capacity with new large-scale attractions.

Johnston has also used conference appearances to confirm previously rumored changes before Disney made them official elsewhere. Speaking at the Wells Fargo Technology, Media, and Telecom Summit, Johnston confirmed that Disney is working to bring hyper-dynamic, airline-style ticket pricing to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. That confirmation followed months of prior reporting on the possibility. More recently, on Disney’s fiscal Q3 2026 earnings call, Johnston addressed the ongoing regional conflict in the Middle East. He reaffirmed that Disney remains fully committed to the Disneyland Abu Dhabi project despite the instability nearby.

Given that track record, the September 9th session is worth tuning into even though it’s framed as a routine investor engagement. Analysts at these events tend to press executives on the topics guests care about most. Attendance trends, pricing strategy, and the pace of new construction across Disney’s parks and cruise line are common lines of questioning.
