Life is one big adventure and Mickey & Minnie are back from their latest travels with the photos to prove it! Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom can meet with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at the Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island.
Adventurers Outpost Mickey & Minnie Meet and Greet
The Adventurers Outpost can be found on the northeast side of Discovery Island, just before you reach the entrance to the Asia section of the theme park. The Mickey & Minnie meet and greet venue is in a green building, with wood-carved signage. Adventurers Outpost used to be a FastPass+/Genie+ attraction, but it was removed from the Lightning Lane Multi Pass line-skipping service in 2024. Standby is the only way to currently experience the meet and greet.
Enjoy an adventurous encounter with world travelers Mickey and Minnie at their exploration headquarters.
Join the globetrotting couple as they prepare themselves for their next grand expedition. Peruse exotic mementos they’ve collected on their trips around the world before posing for a postcard-perfect picture with the pair.
After all their travels, Mickey and Minnie learned one thing—it really is a small world after all.

Inside, guests can find a very Discovery Island-esque setting with animal paintings in the rafters and vibrant colors throughout. On the walls, you can find photos of Mickey and Minnie on their adventures around the world. There is a single waiting room with a switchback queue.
Adventurers Outpost is one of the more popular offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in terms of expected wait time. The meet and greet averages between 30-60 minute wait times, depending on the time of year and time of day. It’s usually best to experience the meet and greet in the morning when crowds in the park are low.

Like other popular meet and greets, efficiency is built into the venue here. Once you reach the end of the queue in the first room, a Cast Member will collect you and direct you to a smaller queue as you wait to meet with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. This smaller room also has photos of Mickey & Minnie’s adventures.

Finally, it’s time to meet with Mickey and Minnie! Adventurers Outpost is rather unique in that this is the only meet-and-greet location where Mickey and Minnie meet as a couple together. Other meet and greets in EPCOT (Mickey & Friends at CommuniCore Hall) and Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Red Carpet Dreams) have Mickey and Minnie in the same room, but they meet individually and not as a couple. At Magic Kingdom, Mickey and Minnie are in two different locations.
Back to Adventurers Outpost, the setting includes trunks from their travels, and a large representation of the various lands within Disney’s Animal Kingdom on a painting behind them. Unfortunately, Adventurers Outpost employs automated PhotoPass cameras, which take away a lot of the charm of a meet-and-greet moment. While the photos taken below are from our own camera, this first photo is from the same angle that the automated camera is installed in.
