PHOTOS: Monorail Red Undergoing Maintenance After Door Operation Accident

Monorail Red (the monorail that suffered the door operation accident that lead to a passenger door opening while it was in use) was seen recently undergoing maintenance near the monorail shop.

The accordion separators have been fully removed for maintenance access between the trains.

After news of the door incident took off on social media and local news, Disney issued a statement saying, “We regret that this occurred. Safety is our biggest concern. We immediately removed that train from service and have taken steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”

While there is no word on what exactly Disney is doing, Monorail Red is the only train undergoing work right now, so it’s possible that the work is related to the door incident.
