Construction continues at Planet Hollywood as the restaurant is being transformed into an observatory theme. We passed by yesterday to find that supportive framing is being added to the dome. Disney probably figured that it’s easier to just lay a new facade over the existing structure than tear down the exterior already in place.

Moving to the springs side of the building, we can see that the rear deck is also starting to be constructed.

The walls and website say that Planet Hollywood will reopen in “Summer 2016”, but the current Disney Springs guide map states a Fall opening, which we think is more likely.
