PHOTOS: Foundation Pours Begin at Disney’s Riviera Resort

As we continue our coverage of Walt Disney World from the air, we focus our attention on construction for Disney’s Riviera Resort. Located where a section of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort used to stand, Disney’s Riviera Resort will be an all new DVC project to be completed by mid-2019. Let’s take a look.

First, an overview of the project.

A closer look reveals that foundations of some sort have been poured. It’s possible that the two pours that have steel coming out of them are for tower cranes as the resort will be multiple stories tall.

Disney’s Riviera Resort isn’t the only construction happening near Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the Centertown area is also receiving a lot of attention.

Foundations are being worked on here as well. It also looks like some vertical construction has started on a perimeter wall on the left side of the construction area.

Keep checking back with us as we continue our aerial coverage around Walt Disney World over the coming weeks, months, and years!
