Survey crews were recently spotted near the site of the future Tron roller coaster coming to Magic Kingdom.
The crews are from Ground Penetrating Radar Systems and specialize in utility marking. In addition to the surveying, pneumatic road tube sensors have been laid across nearby World Drive, likely to determine the impact construction world have on Cast Member traffic.
Inside the park, there are purple utility flags in the space between the train tracks, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Space Mountain.
There is also a wall up next to the Tomorrowland Light and Power Company.
With no permits filed for the project yet, it’s obvious that we’re in the early planning stages, but we could see some progress early next year.
