Refurbishment on the former Hall of Champions facade is now complete, revealing a new theme. The House of Magic has returned to Main Street USA as the fictional tenant of this section of The Emporium. The House of Magic was the original theme of the space when Magic Kingdom opened in 1971.
There is an appropriately themed window display as well.
Of course, there is no functional magic shop inside, but guests can find a House of Magic branded YesterEars tee shirt for $27.99. When House of Magic opened in 1971 Cast Members would perform card tricks and illusions for guests.
The rebranding is a throwback of sorts to an earlier time when the House of Magic occupied the same space from October 1, 1971 to March 19, 1995.
