We made it out to Coronado Springs recently to check on the progress of the new 15-story tower being constructed as part of a resort overhaul. We were surprised to see how quickly construction is coming along. Let’s take a look.
It’s impossible to miss the construction. Here at the main guard gate, two cranes tower over the construction site and nearby parking lot.
Walking through the lobby and towards Lago Dorado, we can start to see the lake-side of the construction via a temporary pedestrian bridge.
It appears that the first and second floors will have much higher ceilings than the remaining floors. This could be to accommodate ballrooms or meeting rooms on the second floor like The Contemporary.
We can see what will likely be the main atrium as it faces Lago Dorado.

Walking to the opposite side of the lake, we can see the 5 floors currently constructed framed next to the current lobby on the right, El Centro. The building will triple in height once completed.
