With Pandora – The World of Avatar and Rivers of Light completed and entertaining guests, there aren’t a lot of projects going on around Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The largest project in the park right now is the Caravan Theater refurbishment ahead of the April 22nd debut of UP! A Great Bird Adventure. We made it out to Animal Kingdom this morning to take a look at the latest progress.

Located in Anandapur Village, the theater sits next to the Yak and Yeti Restaurant as you cross the bridge from Discovery Island to Asia.

A closer look at some of the details. Theming has been added to the previously bare seating overhangs.

Here’s a look back at how bad it actually looked after the roof refurbishment.

Some more details of the new look.

The entrance arch is also being themed to match the area.

Overall, Disney has done a really good job theming what used to be an eyesore.

The Caravan Theater will be used for the upcoming ‘UP! A Great Bird Adventure’ show when it debuts on April 22nd. The show is conducting rehearsals now.
