According to the Walt Disney World website, a “provision with alcohol” called the Rodian Ration will be served in Oga’s Cantina when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We saw a non-alcoholic version of the provision at the west coast version of Batuu called Oga’s Obsession. Disney says that the Rodian Ration will be the alcoholic version and feature vodka, sour apple liqueur, Sprite, and green apple popping pearls. The Rodian Ration will be exclusive to the Hollywood Studios version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
As outlined extensively in our Docking Bay 7 review, Disney often works a Star Wars name into their offerings, and the Rodian Ration is no exception. The Rodian is a green-skinned humanoid native to the planet Rodia. Perhaps the most popular Rodian is Greedo, a bounty hunter that famously met his end at the hands of Han Solo in Star Wars: A New Hope when Han shot him under the table at none other than the Mos Eisley Cantina. Out of all of the named food and drink within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the Rodian Ration has the most popular backstory with quite a bit of screen time for its namesake.
Of course, there are plenty of other drinks and a few snacks to enjoy while in Oga’s Cantina. For a full review, check out our thoughts from our visit to Disneyland back in late-May for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
